Ever since I saw my dad’s Svalbard DIA-slides from the early 60’s, I’ve wanted to visit these isolated islands. Last month I flew in for a few days trip.
The place is like a bad lover. It spends your money and steals your heart. One day gives warmth and the next is ice cold. Yet, it is so beautiful, mysterious and fun – you know you’re coming back for more.
I decided to fill a slot in my calendar with a few days trip to one of the most magical places I’ve visited – Lofoten islands. It’s far away but always worth it, even when the weather is not completely on your side. Having soaked tents and gear doesn’t matter if you’re travelling with positive people – rain or shine.
When you get an invite for a sailing trip, there’s only one right answer. We sailed for some days in the archipelago with Merika. Good winds, weather, food and company!
Summer’s start at the mountains was filled with good times and hot weather.
For the past week the weather has been unbelievable. It’s been almost tropical and we’ve enjoyed it to the fullest. This week we took our friend’s boat Pärlan for an overnight ride into the archipelago.
Been seriously trying to avoid city centers during this month.
This is a photo story of a weekend in the archipelago with Eva, Kalle, Robin and My.
